The construction of a new water reservoir in the area of Kato Polemidia will contribute to the improvement of the quality of services of the Limassol Water Supply Board (SYL), the SYL reports in today's announcement.
He notes that construction work is expected to begin in June 2024 and be completed in February 2026 and that with the completion of the new water tank, the area west of the Limassol General Hospital will be supplied with water.
The agreement for the construction of the new water tank, which will be made of reinforced concrete and will have a capacity of 2,000 cubic meters , signed today, Thursday.
Besides the water tank, the project also includes the installation of new pipelines, monitoring and control wells with flowmeters, switches and other equipment, as well as the configuration of the surrounding area.
The construction cost amounts to €787,383 with funding from the budget of the Limassol Water Supply Board.
