The Inter-Municipal Development Works Ltd held its first meeting at the Nicosia City Hall on Friday, January 28, with the aim of appointing the President and legal representatives of the Company, as well as the immediate priorities for the next period, within the framework of the Integrated Spatial Development Strategy (ICA).
According to the relevant announcement, the Municipality of Nicosia in the priorities of Phase A are the transition to a circular economy, infrastructure and Smart City systems, interventions in the Pediaio River, core renovations and actions of Sustainable Urban Mobility.
Recalls that the Integrated Spatial Development Strategy moves within the framework set by the European Commission for the programming period 2021-2027 and the relevant national investment priorities and that this framework enables a smooth and constructive transition through the completion and updating of the strategic planning. of the period 2014-2020 for the Integrated Sustainable Urban Development of the Center of Nicosia and at the same time the extension of the interventions in additional areas of the wider urban space that are disadvantaged and / or face key environmental and other challenges.
The meeting was attended by the Mayor of Nicosia Konstantinos Giorkatzis, the Mayor of Engomi Zacharia Kyriakou, the Mayor of Strovolos Andreas Papacharalambous, the Mayor of Aglantzia Andreas Konstantinou, the Mayor of Lakatamia Fotoula Hatouzi. Dometiou Costas Petrou, the Municipal Secretary of the Municipality of Nicosia Myria Pilakouta and the Municipal Treasurer of the Municipality of Nicosia Nikolas Efstathiou.
