The people who, after the recent violent incidents, left the Center and tried to find shelter in Kokkinotrimithia have returned to the Migrant Reception Center in Pournara, as reported by the Community Leader, Christakis Meleties. He also said that the Minister of the Interior, Nikos Nouris, has responded to his request for a meeting within the day.

He explained that the residents of the area are concerned about their safety and health, as well as the security of their properties, while, as he said, they are also worried about the potential for crime to develop, in terms of illegal drug and prostitution activities.

He will raise these issues in the meeting with the Minister of the Interior, the Community Leader continued, stressing the request for the Center to be moved from the area. "A small community cannot shoulder such a burden", said Mr. Meleties, adding that he has also requested a meeting with the President of the Republic.

Incidents with immigrants who retrieved knives and sharp objects also cause problems, while the reasons for the incidents between groups of Africans remain unknown.

next day he finds the reception center looking like a bombed out landscape.
