Kyriakos Kousios assumes the duties of Minister of Labor and Social Insurance today, Monday, in succession of the late Zeta Emilianidou, while Mr. Kousios in the position of Deputy Minister despite the President succeeds Petros Dimitriou.
According to a written statement by Government Spokesman Marios Pelekanos, President Nikos Anastasiadis, exercising the powers provided to him by the Constitution of Of the Republic of Cyprus, decided to appoint Kyriakos I. Kousios, currently Deputy Minister to the President, as Minister of Labor.
Petros Dimitriou is now appointed Deputy Minister to the President Director of the Office of the President of the Republic.
Acting Director of the Office of the President of the Republic is Pantelis Pantelidis, currently head of the Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic.
The appointments will take effect from today, Monday, June 27, 2022, during which the ceremony of confirmation and assumption of duties of the new officials will take place, the announcement concludes.
