The wound of the 17-year-old who last night was chased by Police patrol cars and shots were fired at his vehicle did not come from a bullet, according to the examinations of the medical examiners Angelikis Papettas and Orthodoxos Orthodoxos, according to the ADE of Limassol , whose press representative, Lefteris Kyriakou, had stated that this was also evident from the preliminary examinations.
It is recalled that two patrol cars had gone to the area of Ypsonas on Tuesday evening, following a complaint of disturbance by young people, who were throwing stones, holding sticks and burning trash cans.
Around 11.45 p.m., he was attacked of a patrol car molotov, as a result of which the roof was engulfed in flames, while at the same time, the members of the Police noticed a vehicle behind the patrol cars and developing speed, in the direction of Ypsonas.
A pursuit of the vehicle followed and an attempt to stop it, however, the driver continued to drive dangerously and at high speed despite the fact that three warning shots were fired.
According to Mr. Kyriakou, the police fired two more shots were fired at the tires of the vehicle, but it continued on its way and the driver managed to escape.
As it was established, the owner of the vehicle was the mother of a 17-year-old boy, who was located in the Limassol Police Station, where she was transporting her son with facial trauma. The young man was examined by doctors and it was found that he had a two-centimeter abrasion on his cheek.
So far, it has not been clarified where the 17-year-old's wound came from, however the possibility that it was a bullet from the policemen who were chasing him has now excluded with the forensic examination.
