< strong>Aris had a party in Hungary, which “scattered” Bate 5-3 and made history by ensuring its participation in the European group and the ticket for the third qualifying round of the Champions League! The goals of the match were scored by Babika 09', Gromyko 24', Gomis 26', Kazou 35', Martynov 48', Bengtson 55', Stepisnki 74' and Laptev 90+3'.
1st half
Aris started the match with a fort, who from the first minutes imposed his rhythm and closed the Belarusians in their own half.
In the 9th minute the Limassol team opened the scoring with Babika! The African took advantage of the imbalance in the opponent's defense, went on the counter and found himself in front of the Bate goalkeeper, easily scoring for 1-0.
In the 17th minute, Aris missed a great opportunity to double his lead with Babika after an amazing combination to take the ball from the right side of the area, to make the shot with the ball going a little over the goalposts.
Against the flow of the match, Bate equalized the match with Gromykoin the 25th minute, after Musuda's penalty on Laptev.
A minute later, however, Aris immediately found the answer with Gomis! The champions went on the counterattack, Maiabella made a parallel cross to the Frenchman who hit an empty net from the second post.
The “Light Brigade” continued to be dominant and in the 35th minute took a two-goal lead with the Kazootaking advantage of Kutravec's shaky save after Babika's shot and making it 3-1 from close range.
So the two teams were led to the locker room with Aris having a significant lead in his “hands” and Bate needing a “miracle” to turn the situation around.
< strong>Second half
With the first half as a guide, Aris started the replay having full control of the match.
Nevertheless, in the 48th minute, Bate surprised Spilefski's team, reducing the score to 3-2! After a nice cross from the right, Laptev headed home with Martinov then leaping to the far post and pushing the ball into the Vanas net.
Seven minutes later but the Cypriot champions had an answer again with Bengtsson sending the ball into the slot of Koutravets after a great shot from the left side of the area!
In the 65th minute, the team from Limassol threatened again with the newly-arrived Sané as the protagonist, who entered the area from the right, made a drift shot with the ball finding the body of a defender and going into the corner.
In the 74th minute, Aris scored five goals! Newcomer Montnor with a wonderful cross from the left found Stepisnki who was untroubled at the second post to make it 5-2!
Bate's only response was a minute before end of the match where Musuda was fouled inside the area with the match referee showing the white arrow. The execution was undertaken by Laptev who was accurate making the final 5-3 in 90+3'.
