I am forced to make this announcement with regret. However, I consider it my duty to inform the public and especially the citizens of Dromoloxia, Meneos, Pervolia, Kiti and Tersefanos about what took place today, May 7 and saw the light of day, but also what unfolded in the previous period, he says in a announcementwhich was issued by the Mayor of Dromolakia Kypros Andronikou.

In my long career in the Local Government up to now I operate with honesty, transparency, moderation and ethics. Values that I have as my beacon and guide my every step both in my personal and professional life.

Despite repeated actionsthat were made against me throughout this pre-election period, I consciously chose to keep a low tone, respecting above all the democratic processes of our country, as well as all the citizens of the new regional Municipality, wanting to maintain a high standard of the democratic dialogue.
However, unfortunately, today's events forced me to make a complaint to the Police after a personal attack I received. I have faith in the Authorities that they will investigate the complaint based on the actual facts and the finding will then be made public, in order to restore the truth, without leaving suspicions and shadows against me.
The attitude of DISY Larnaca to make conclusions, without knowing the real facts and before the investigation of the Authorities is completed, proves that it hides political expediency.
From my point of view, I will continue to operate with the same principles and values that established me all these years, respecting the democratic processes of our country, but most importantly, respecting my fellow citizens.
