The Metropolitan of Tamasos Isaias Kykkotis mentioned the cuts made in KENTHEA in the last years under his presidency, during the annual General Assembly of the organization that took place on Saturday in the Holy Metropolis of Tamasos and Orinis, in the Episcopio.
According to an announcement by KENTHEA, Metropolitan Isaiah said that “the multi-subject expertise of the Board, the representativeness of member organizations from all strata of Cypriot society, as well as our strong scientific team, contributed to us being KENTHEA today, perhaps the only NGO in the Republic, which provides programs that cover most of the National Strategy for the prevention and treatment of addictions, and the only organization in Cyprus, which participates every year in a number of European co-financed programs in the field of addictions”.
This was followed by a presentation of the organization's programs by Elena Zarouna, General Director, and of the organization's policy positions by Kyriakos Veresier, Scientific Director.
The general assembly approved the audited financial statements for the year 2021, and reappointed its auditors of the organization.
According to an announcement by KENTHEA, in the second part of the meeting, with a memorandum of cooperation with Spare Time Cyprus, which concerns an innovative technology application that is expected to be launched in Cyprus in the next period.
It is also reported that the children's book “PITTA” by Zeni Konstantinova, in translation, was presented Christos and Vasiliki Hatzipapas, while as a sign of appreciation the attendees were given the new KENTHEA 2022 calendar and the children's fairy tale “PITTA”.
