To ignore messages from [email protected], which illegally bear the logo of the Department of Taxation and refer to tax refunds, calls on citizens, the Department, noting that this is spam messages.
According to an announcement by the Department, which is broadcast by the State Police, in the last few days it has been found that messages are being sent with the sender's e-mail address ~ [email protected], which a are spam messages.
As reported, the specific messages bear, illegally, the logo of the Tax Department and refer to tax refunds with the following text:
“We inform you that your request for an automatic tax refund for the period from September 2022 to December 2022 has been approved. You can use our online portal or visit the nearest tax office: https://mof-gov.net/VAT540256”
“Those who have received messages with the above characteristics are asked to ignore them”, noted.
It is also noted that the Tax Department officially communicates only through e-mail addresses ending in: @tax.mof.gov.cy
