The Auditor General Odysseas Michaelidis today accused the Health Insurance Organization (OHI) of trying to pass the multi-insurance GeSY “through the back door”, wanting to allow private hospitals to have two gates admission of patients both inside and outside GeSY.
“The OAU wants to allow private hospitals to have 2 patient admission portals, inside and outside GeSY”, said Mr. Michaelidis in his post on Twitter and added: “The so-called defender of the single insurance policy is trying to the last degree to pass the multi-insurance policy through the back door, making private insurance necessary in practice”.
Mr. Michaelidis reproduced a previous post by the Audit Service, expressing “concern with the fact that the press representative of @GESYCyprus publicly states that it is legal for non-GeSy doctors to operate on GeSy beneficiaries in GeSy hospitals.
