One death from Covid-19 and 23 new cases of coronavirus were announced in the occupied territories on Tuesday.
In a written statement, “Minister” of Health Ali Pillia stated that the 23 cases resulted from 4,784 tests performed in the last 24 hours and that a patient with Covid-19 passed away today.
Of the new cases, 7 are contacts of confirmed cases and 16 are infections within the community. 11 are from Nicosia, 10 from Kyrenia and 2 from Famagusta.
The total number of cases in the occupied areas amounts to 3,105. Twenty people have lost their lives to the disease.
