The handling of the case of sexual harassment of a 23-year-old patient by a doctor who works in a hospital in Nicosia in relation to the performance of the indictment raises questions. That is, while the complaint was made in August 2020, was investigated by the Police (a testimony was also taken by the doctor) and was registered before a court for trial in September 2020, the summons to the accused was not served until January 2021 because they could not be located. Eventually, for some reason, the accused was not located by the specific company, with the result that the case was withdrawn from the court and the summons ended up with the Police.
And the newspaper “Politis” had to intervene with a report on 21/02/2021 in order for the necessary actions to be taken by the Police in order to finally deliver the call to the accused doctor so many months after the complaint.
