The Attorney General of the Republic. George Savvidis, following instructions from the President of the Republic Mr. Nikos Anastasiadis, today filed an appeal to the Supreme Court, based on Article 139 of the Constitution, which challenges the legislative regulations brought by the House of Representatives through the Budget of 2022, Law of 2021, Law 56 (II) / 2021.
Specifically, these regulations concern the statute of limitations of the associates / advisers of the Government, the President of the Republic, the Ministers, the Deputy Ministers, the Government Spokesman and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, as well as the remuneration of advisers / associates they are removed from the position of civil servant, or employee of a public law body, or of indefinite employment employed in the Public Service or in a public law body.
The action alleges a conflict of jurisdiction due to a breach of the Principle of Discrimination under the Constitution, a breach of European Union law on the Framework Agreement on Fixed-Term Work (Directive 1999/70 / EC) and a challenge to a power due to breach of constitutional principle of freedom of association and equal treatment.
