Each reshuffle conveys specific messages to the public as the choices made reflect in the most vivid way the intentions of the President of the Republic and the government, in view of the continuation. For several days now, the possibility of replacing or moving the Government Spokesman, Kyriakos Kousiou, has been discussed, with the information stating that he favors-wishes for such a possibility. Among the names found under the microscope of the President of the Republic, is that of the DISY candidate in the May 30 parliamentary elections on the Nicosia ballot, Marios Pelekanos. In fact, it seems to be gaining ground in relation to other names that have been heard in the past, but without being locked for the time being. We remind you that Mr. Pelekanos failed to get elected in the recent parliamentary elections, finishing behind Xenia Konstantinou and Michalis Sophocleous, with 7,013 votes. He is a member of DISY, who expresses without hesitation strong positions and views on immigration, while in the Cyprus issue he is considered the hard line. He was appointed in 2019 to the Presidency of KOAG, while he is president of the Organization of Young Scientists of DISY since 2017.
We remind you that the departure of the Minister of Health Konstantinos Ioannou after his own request should be taken for granted (there is a strong ministerial appointment of the former Speaker of Parliament, Adamos Adamos, with him not appearing negative in the first phase), while the possibility of replacement remains open of Emily Giolitis at the Ministry of Justice as well as Prodromos Prodromos at the Ministry of Education. For the Ministry of Justice, the name of Kyriakos Kousios is heard, while for the Ministry of Education, information is brought by the President to look for a person who moves in the wider area of the Center (somewhere between DIKO and DIPA).
