Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar said criticism of the construction of a new “presidency” and a new “parliament” was “unfair and excessive”.
According to the Turkish Cypriot newspaper “Dialog”, as reported by the Press and Information Office, responding to the criticism regarding the new “presidential” and the new “parliament”, Mr. Tatar claimed that the new buildings will not be his personal property. “Ersin Tatar, not any other politician, but a presumption of our existence in these lands and an indication of our sovereignty.”
According to the Turkish Cypriot newspaper, the project of the building complex, which will include the construction of the new buildings of the “presidential” and the “parliament” in the occupied area of Agios Dometios, in an area of 350 acres, will cost 586 million Turkish pounds ( ΤΛ).
A statement said that the project for the new “presidency” is included in the “protocol of economic and fiscal cooperation” of Turkey-pseudo-state.
