The agenda of the President of the Republic Mr. Nikos Anastasiadis in the coming days is full.

As stated in a written statement, the Director of the Press Office of the President of the Republic Andreas Joseph, includes meetings, meetings, among others, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, the assurance ceremony of the new Deputy Chief of Police, while he will participate in European Union – African Union Summit in Brussels on the sidelines of which it will have important meetings.

Sunday 13 February

He will then meet with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud. The meeting will discuss bilateral relations and cooperation between Cyprus and Saudi Arabia, as well as developments in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Gulf region.

Monday 14 February

The assurance ceremony of the new Deputy Chief of Police, Mr. Dimitris Dimitriou, will take place on Monday, February 14th. Afterwards, President Anastasiadis will receive the annual report of the Commissioner for Gender Equality, Iosifina Antoniou.

Tuesday 15 February

Afterwards, the President of the Republic will chair a meeting of the Council of Ministers.

Wednesday 16 February

On Wednesday, February 16, President Anastasiadis will leave for Brussels. It will participate in the 6th European Union – African Union Summit which will take place on 17 and 18 February. At the summit, leaders are expected to discuss ways in which the two continents can build greater prosperity. The aim is to launch an ambitious Africa-Europe investment package, taking into account global challenges such as climate change and the pandemic. On the sidelines of the Summit, the President of the Republic is expected to have important meetings and discussions
