The Municipality of Limassol officially announces, through his announcement, last night's unanimous decision of the municipal council, that the King of the Limassol Carnival will be Dimitris Giannakou, who has been participating in the carnival since the age of three.
According to today's announcement, Dimitris Giannakou, is a genuine carnivalist with more than 35 years of participation in the Limassol Carnival.
The youngest King of the Carnival, in the modern history of the institution, is a television and god atric producer and from the age of 10 (1993) participates in carnival parades with groups of floats as a dancer, with impressive choreographies and fantastic costumes.
From 1995 to 2016 he is a creator of groups and floats with participation in the small and large parades but also in other Carnival events, while since 2017 he has taken part in the large team of the Municipality of Limassol, as an active volunteer member for the organization of the Limassol Carnival.
The coronation of the new king will take place on Friday, February 16, the official first of the carnival events, which culminate with the great carnival parade, on Sunday, February 26.
