Clarifications were made by the Mayor of Geroskipou, Michalis Pavlidis, regarding the inclusion of his name in the list of Giorkatzis.
In a relevant announcement, Mr. Pavlidis says that after the publication of the Giorkatzi list, he feels the need to clarify that his name was on the list because during the “haircut” period, from 2013 to 2018, a company in which he is a shareholder, had Non-performing loans.
Then, he adds, part of the loans have been repaid and the rest have been serviced.
He also pointed out that what was generally to be revealed was who was favorably treated and repaid loans and not who had non-performing loans during a given difficult period, during which “more than half of the banks' loans were non-performing”.
