DISY's measures for the rebels – “They will be applied inexorably and without exceptions” – What applies to independents and what to candidates with other parties
It publishes the measures that Pindarou applies to DISY members who are running as independents in the upcoming elections, stressing that they will be applied inexorably and without exceptions.
As the party states in a statement, “we wish to make it clear once again that the Democratic Alarm will not tolerate the behavior of those few who, ignoring the Faction's decisions, put their personal ambitions above the collective good. This constitutes a lack of respect for the great majority but also for all executives throughout Cyprus who work with zeal, dedication and selflessness”.
He notes that “in the Democratic Alert we stand for our ideals, beliefs and principles . Not to take but to give, to serve our country. We repeat that according to the unanimous decision of the Politburo those who claim as independents, at a minimum, they will not be able to be candidates of the Faction for any intra-party or state office for 6 years”.
He also adds that those who come as candidates with other parties are automatically removed from the membership register as no further investigation is needed. no exceptions. Anything additional or for other behaviors will proceed with the procedures based on the statute. It is the first time that the aforementioned decisions were known in advance and therefore no one can plead ignorance,” he concludes.
