The President of the Republic Mr. Nikos Anastasiadis received today in his Office the President and the members of the Advisory Council who handed him the list of 15 people proposed as candidates for the establishment of the Independent Authority against Corruption.
Ο The President of the Republic, exercising his powers arising from the specific legislation, decided to appoint the Transparency Commissioner and the Members of the Independent Anti-Corruption Authority as follows:
Transparency Commissioner:
· Harris Pogiatzis, former Judge, holds an LLB (Hons) Exon degree, University of Exeter, England
Members:
· Michael Konstantinidis, former Director General of the Ministry of Communications and Works, holds a degree in Bsc Mechanical Engineering, Queen Mary College University of London and MSc Engineering, University of Minnesota
· Eleni Patera – Demosthenous, Lawyer, holds a degree in Law , National Kapodistrian University of Athens
· Nikos Zampakidis, Accountant/Auditor, former General Manager of the Nicosia Water Supply Council, holder of a professional title ACCA
· Tatiana Zachariadou, Sociologist, B.Sc. State University of New York, Albany and MA in Applied Sociology, University of Indianapolis.
