The Pancyprian Association of Leisure Center Owners is expected to take two symbolic steps, in an effort to pressure the Government to open them in mid-March.
In his statements to philenews, the General Secretary of PASIKA, Fanos Leventis, stated that according to the information they have so far, the recreation centers are expected to open in March, however, they are expected to proceed with symbolic measures. These concern a symbolic course of vehicles but also a 24-hour suspension of delivery.

As Mr. Leventis stressed, our concerns were heard and if there is a will on the part of the government to control the positive cases, there is no reason to remain closed.
Asked if they have a health protocol that the recreation centers will follow after their opening, he said that a new one is being prepared because what they had was before they closed. At the same time, he noted that there is a commitment from the ministry that the specific protocol, before taking its final form, will be given to the organizations so that it can be evaluated.
In an announcement, PASIKA states:
A meeting (using technology) of the Board was held today. of PA.S.I.K.A. , with the presence of representatives of all, without exception, of the Provinces, on the occasion of the prolonged and completely UNFAIR closing of the Industry. In a few days, one year closes from the first closing. During the meeting were discussed and submitted in the most intense way suggestions for measures to make the Industry operate as soon as possible without excessive, disproportionate and unjustified restrictions.
An extraordinary PAN-CYPRUS CONFERENCE will be convened within the days that will examine the main proposals among others that have been submitted and which are:
1. To make a route of vehicles both in the capital and to the entrances of the two airports.
2. Twenty-four-hour suspension of the offer of distribution of household food, where cooperation with other related organizations will be sought.
3. Opening of the Leisure Centers not even one day later than the date that the government orients itself with the simultaneous lifting and restriction of the traffic time.
The suggestions will be presented before the members of PA.S.I.K.A. which apparently seem determined, no longer bearing this unbearable weight, to proceed vigorously, considering the possibility of extending the duration of the measures.
At the same time, the BoD calls on the competent Minister to cooperate as closely as possible with PA.S.I.K.A.
