The terms and conditions of use of the services of Hellenic Bank change from January 3, 2022 and the first simple change is in the renaming of online banking to digital banking.

Regarding the identification documents, the customers of Elliniki should know that when they hold more than one passport they should present everything and everything should be valid.

In cases where the customer instructs the bank to stop paying the check, the order will be given in writing either through Online Banking or through a customer service center.

In terms of data security, the bank urges its customers to use only the checkbook themselves, or duly authorized by that person. It is understood that in the case of joint accounts, the use of the checkbook will be made by the signatory (s) of such account.

Regarding the “DigiPIN limit”, it is stated that it is the amount limit beyond which the use of a DigiPIN code is required for its transfer. Specifically, for transfers to third party accounts and for transfers over € 50,000 between online accounts of the Online Banking user, the use of a DigiPIN Code is required, therefore the DigiPIN limit is zero. For transfers between Online Banking user's own accounts, the Online Banking user may reduce the above amount, so that the use of a DigiPIN code is required to perform smaller amount transfers between own accounts.

The Bank reserves the right to refuse to initiate a payment transaction or to execute a payment order for lawful and / or reasonable reasons, including compliance with the law of the Republic of Cyprus […] and the laws of the Bank's supervisory authority and / or other competent authorities, [ …]. The bank will notify the customer of its refusal […], if possible the reasons for the refusal and the procedure for correcting any errors that led to the refusal.
