The law was approved with 32 votes in favor.
During the discussion the President of the Refugee Committee and of the proposers of the proposal Nikos Kettiros said that the proposal was submitted to resolve the long delay in examining applications which is due, as he clarified, not to incompetence of the service care, but understaffed and called on the Ministry of Finance to take care of the staffing.
He said that applications from 2021 are still being considered while he was informed just today that the meeting in Limassol and Paphos was postponed in October for the examination of applications.< /p>
