The Minister of Labor Zeta Aimilianidou was rushed to Athens for surgery, after a cerebral aortic aneurysm.
According to an official information from the Government Spokesman Mario Pelekano, the minister “was initially admitted to a private hospital in Nicosia and then due to the seriousness of her condition was transferred to a hospital in Athens where she is currently undergoing surgery.”

With regret I am obliged to inform that the Minister of Labor and Social Insurance, Mrs. Zeta Aimilianidou, suffered a cerebral aortic aneurysm last night.
She was initially admitted to a private hospital in Nicosia and then due to the seriousness of her condition was transferred to a hospital in Athens where she is currently undergoing surgery.

The President of the Republic is informed from the first moment about the state of health of Mrs. Minister and expresses his warmest wishes for a speedy recovery.
After this unpleasant development, today's press conference on “Welfare State – Society Without Exclusions” in which Mrs. Minister, as well as tomorrow's actions related to the issue in the Province of Larnaca, are postponed.
