He does not say to leave us the dust that has been bothering us in recent weeks, making the atmosphere suffocating. According to the Meteorological Service, the African dust that has covered our country will begin to recede in the coming days. Over the years, Cyprus is increasingly exposed to the cloud of dust coming from Africa. 15-20 years ago the dust reached our country 3-4 times a year, while now we talk about 4-5 times a quarter. Climate change, declining arable land in Africa, and increasing desertification are the main causes of the phenomenon. While experts recommend avoiding exercise, the Ministry of Education does not seem to have any concerns, with the gym class being done normally after students return to school last Monday.
