The Department of Informatics of the University of Nicosia announces the announcement of 10 scholarships amounting to 20% of the annual tuition for the Data Science (BSc) program, which is offered in English. The scholarship is valid for the normal duration of the program (4 years) and concerns those who are interested in starting their studies in the next academic semester of 2021. Deadline for applications is August 31, 2021.
The program, which is the only Data Science undergraduate program in Cyprus and one of the first in Europe, is designed to prepare students for employment in one of the ten most sought after work specialties in the world. In particular, the demand for professionals in the emerging scientific field of Data Science will reach one million in the EU Member States by 2025.
Students will have the opportunity to utilize and benefit from the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory of the University, while the program will equip them with the technical skills required to obtain, manage, analyze and extract information from data. combining key disciplines such as Informatics, Mathematics and Statistics.
