Cyprus Police Association: We will not allow the victimization of our members

The Cyprus Police Association (SAK) expresses its determination not to allow victimization of its members in an announcement.

The Cyprus Police Association states that it has dealt diligently with the recent incidents that took place last Saturday, February 13, 2021 and wishes to express its full support to the members of the police force, who acted within the framework of their duties and instructions.

In this regard, the SAK condemns any attempt to present a fragmentary and non-objective presentation of the facts, with selective isolation of images that do not reflect reality and expresses its determination not to allow the victimization of its members.

In conclusion, SAK calls on all those involved to show respect for the fundamental presumption of innocence pending the findings of the investigation of the Independent Authority for the Investigation of Allegations and Complaints against the Police (AADIPA).
