Drunk man refused breathalyzer test, swearing at police officers – Arrest of 30-year-old man

Driving under the influence of alcohol, assault resisting lawful arrest refusal to provide a breath sample  the Paphos Police investigates a 30-year-old man who was spotted driving his vehicle with 92  mg more than the permitted limit

According to the Press Representative of ADE Paphos and Head of TAE Paphos Michalis Nikolaou, on 10.12.22 at 11:30 p.m. members of the Paphos Traffic Police while conducting traffic controls on Tafoi Avenue of Vasileon, they stopped a car driven by a 30-year-old who lives permanently in the Republic with the status of political asylum.

"The 30-year-old showed symptoms of intoxication and in a preliminary alcohol test he had a reading of 114 mg  instead of 22 mg. Subsequently, he refused to provide a sample for final control and attacked the policemen by pushing them and swearing at them. The 30-year-old was arrested for the self-inflicted crime of assaulting a police officer and resisting  during his arrest”.

Besides, on 11.12.22 around noon, the 30-year-old was condemned in writing and released to be summoned later.
