As part of the Easter season, Emirates is offering traditional lamb meals in airport lounges, serving hot buns in-flight, sweet 'surprises' for children and a wide range of new films for the whole family to watch on the ice entertainment system.
From 7 to 10 April, Emirates passengers, in all seat classes and on selected routes such as Australia, USA, Canada, Europe, UK, Brazil, the Philippines, South Africa, Mauritius and Ghana, have the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of in-flight Easter food options.
Economy Class passengers will be able to enjoy a warm bun after their meal or a tasty Easter carrot cake with three types of milk (tres leches). First, Business Class and Premium Economy Class passengers will be offered chocolate cake with ganache cream and red berries or strawberry cheesecake, decorated with a small Easter egg.
In the A380 lounges, passengers will be able to enjoy a traditional Easter fruit cake with marzipan. During the Orthodox Easter, specifically from 14 to 17 April, Emirates will offer treats, such as the popular Kulich Easter cake, on routes to Russia and Greece. It is worth noting that all children, regardless of seat category, will receive cookies in the shape of an Easter egg, on which “Happy Easter” will be written in bright colors.
In addition, passengers will be able to sample Easter food in the lounges of Emirates' global network, in most destinations, such as lamb chops with roast potatoes, carrots and meat broth in the First Class lounges in Dubai, or roast lamb with dates, green olives and pomegranate in the US, pistachio-crusted lamb cutlets, red pepper and olive oil coulis and spring vegetables in Singapore, or herb-crusted lamb and roasted leeks, baby potatoes, cherry tomatoes and sour mint sauce in the UK.
Passengers traveling on Emirates flights over Easter have access to a world-class entertainment library with more than 5,000 on-demand channels, as well as more than 1,900 films and 1,500 hours of TV, music, podcasts and audiobooks in 40 languages.
In particular, all members of a family will have the opportunity to enjoy movies and TV programs from Cartoon Network, CBeebies and Nickelodeon channels. New children's movies for April include Hotel Transylvania: Transformania, The Tiger Rising, Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile, Tad the Lost Explorer and Emerald Tablet. Emirates has also created an exclusive folder called “Wizarding World”, which includes 16 Harry Potter titles for a movie marathon, as well as popular TV shows such as The Amazing World of Gumball, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Lego Jurassic World: Legends of Isla Nublar, SpongeBob SquarePants, Star Trek: Prodigy, The Adventures of Puss in Boots.
