The statements were made today, Wednesday, after the end of the inauguration of the reconstruction and restoration projects of the Pancyprian High School, where Paphos Georgios performed the consecration.

Paphos Georgios stated that as a former student and former teacher of Pangyprio Gymnasium "I feel special emotion when I come on special days for the school, as today's opening was for’ this and I express my satisfaction for what was done and my congratulations to the contributors of this renovation.

Regarding the Archdiocesan elections, the  Pafos Georgios stated that the procedures are proceeding as planned. He noted that in the morning while leaving the Archdiocese, he was informed that there are three objections, the content of which he does not know. "We will examine them tomorrow and tomorrow the day of the meeting for the election of the new Archbishop will be set".

The election of the Archbishop, he noted, will be done by the Holy Synod, as provided by the Charter of the Church of Cyprus, which is similar to the constitution of a state. statute and I think we should all respect it. The Statute says election by the people of the Tri-person and by the Holy Synod of one of the three. The Holy Synod will do its own tasks, he concluded.
