On the table Middle East and the ongoing Russian aggression against Ukraine
In Brussels the Minister of Foreign Affairs Konstantinos Kombos is traveling on Sunday, where on Monday, May 27, he will participate in the work of the Foreign Affairs Council of the European Union (EU).
According to a statement from the Ministry, during the work of the Council the Ministers will discuss the situation in the Middle East and in this context they will carry out an informal exchange of views with the Foreign Ministers of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt , of the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, as well as with the Secretary General of the League of Arab States.
It is added that the Ministers will also be concerned with the ongoing Russian aggression against of Ukraine, while they will also review current issues of foreign relations, focusing on the latest developments in Venezuela, as well as the situation in Georgia and Haiti.
The Council session will be followed by the 8th Brussels Conference “Supporting the future of Syria and the wider region”, while on the sidelines of the Council's work, Mr. Kobos will have contacts with his counterparts, the announcement concludes .
