Meeting of the President of DISY with the medical branch of PASYDY
The strong support of DISY to GeSY was expressed by the President of the party Annita Dimitriou, stating that they are ready to contribute positively to efforts to correct distortions.
According to a press release issued by DISY, today Mrs. Dimitriou had a meeting with the medical branch of PASYDY during which vital issues concerning GeSY were discussed. The Vice President of DISY and Deputy President of the Parliamentary Health Committee, Savia Orfanidou, also participated in the meeting.
As reported, Mrs. Dimitriou described the meeting as “very useful and constructive” and assured the medical branch of PASYDY that DISY, “which dared and laid the foundations for GeSY, as the biggest and most important reform for the country and for the citizens, putting their backs for its implementation, will continue to strongly support it, while seeking to improve it where and where it is needed”.
“We are ready to contribute positively to the efforts to correct the distortions that have become apparent these years, without of course in any way changing the character and philosophy of the NHS that we voted for,” said Mrs. Dimitriou.
It is added that during the meeting the need to support public hospitals was emphasized , which are a key pillar of the NHS and to ensure their financial viability. “DISY will contribute substantially and constructively in this direction”, said Mrs. Dimitriou.
As reported, during the meeting, various legislative issues were also discussed, with the leadership of DISY assuring that it will work constructively. and within the House of Representatives in order to make overall the necessary decisions to resolve the issues, which will improve the strengthening of this very important social conquest that is the National Health Service.
