The Turkish Court of Appeals has sentenced a Turkish court of appeals to 270 years in prison for the attempted assassination of Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan during a coup attempt on July 15, 2016 in Marmaris.
The court sentenced 15 people to life in prison and they were sentenced to 270 years in prison. However, for another five, it was decided due to good behavior to reduce their sentence by 1/6.
The accused were convicted of violating the Constitution, attempted assassination of the President of the Republic, damage to public and private property, threatening and insulting the President of the Republic.
