The President of the Republic Mr. Nikos Anastasiadis is going to Israel on Sunday, February 14, for a one-day working visit, where he will have meetings with the political leadership of the country.
According to a written statement by Government Spokesman Kyriakos Kousios, on the morning of February 14, President Anastasiadis will meet with Israeli President Raven Rivlin, while at 6 pm he will meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
During the meetings of the President of the Republic will be discussed issues related to, among others, the developments in the Cyprus issue, bilateral relations, the prevailing situation in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Cyprus-Israel cooperation aimed at peace and stability in the region, efforts to tackle the coronavirus pandemic, as well as issues related to the Defense, Energy and Tourism sectors.
The President of the Republic will be accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Nikos Christodoulidis, the Minister of Defense Mr. Charalambos Petridis, the Government Spokesman and the Deputy Minister of Tourism Mr. Savvas Perdios.
On the sidelines of the visit of the President of the Republic, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Defense and the Deputy Minister of Tourism will hold separate meetings with their Israeli counterparts.
