A case of attempted arson of a vehicle in Geroskipou is being investigated by the Paphos Crime Detection Department.
According to the Police, the owner of a vehicle, a resident of Geroskipou, complained to the Police that an unknown person tried to set fire to his vehicle around 21:00 yesterday.
According to the complainant, his vehicle was parked outside his residence in Geroskipou when at some point he noticed an unknown person containing his vehicle with flammable material, as he later found out.
The owner of the vehicle started shouting and the unknown man fled without completing his attempt.
The scene is guarded by the Police while members of the TAE visited the scene today for further investigation of the case and collection of evidence in order to locate the perpetrator.
The exams continue.
