Members of the Paphos police department organized a voluntary cleaning campaign on Sunday morning in the coastal area of Kastro and Faros, as part of the "Let’s Do It" campaign.
As mentioned, the effort of the "Let’s Do it Cyprus" is part of a larger project of "Let’s Do it World" for the protection of the environment and societies are invited to contribute voluntarily.
In addition, volunteers, who live in communities in the Diarizos area, in cooperation with the Environmental Movement, organized today, Sunday, a cleaning of the area near the "Asprokremos" dam. ; in Paphos, as part of the "Let’s Do It" campaign.
Tons of garbage were collected from the campaign, mainly plastics that the volunteers collected around the "Asprokremos" dam.
The effort, as mentioned, is to clean Cyprus of garbage that is scattered in the Cypriot nature, to make a comprehensive record of the places where there is garbage to prevent illegal dumping, but mainly to create ecological awareness and prevent the phenomenon of uncontrolled dumping of garbage.
