Foreign teams' “looks” at the Nigerian
The interest of Omonia is largely in the competitive part, but at this stage of the season it is natural to think about the next season as well. One of the names that have been heard for foreign teams is that of Francis Uzoho, with the Nigerian being these days under the rafters of the “trefoil”, at the mercy of Fabiano's injury.
It is a fact that there is interest in the 25-year-old, who, however, has a contract with the “Greens” until May 2027. In the past, there was talk of teams from France, but also Spain, which, according to foreign reports, would give an amount in excess of 1 million euros for the sake of the international goalkeeper. It makes sense if one considers that this is an experienced goalkeeper with performances both in the final stage of the World Cup and in European competitions, where he made excellent appearances.
However , from Omonia's side they say that there was no official proposal, with the interest being there. However, the team from the capital city know that there can be an attack next summer as well, which is why they are looking at the Cypriot market for another goalkeeper who will be able to defend the home of the “clover”.
Therefore, if an offer comes that satisfies the “wants” of the Nicosia team… Uzoho will leave, probably bringing a pretty good amount to the club's coffers.
