In the last 24 hours, the Police proceeded with 109 complaints of citizens and an establishment for violation of the measures to limit the spread of the coronavirus disease.
In his statements to KYPE, a representative of the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters stated that from 6.00 on Monday morning until 6.00 am today, 9,686 checks were carried out.
Regarding the inspections by province, in Nicosia 2,078 inspections were carried out and 12 citizens complained, in Limassol 1,634 inspections were carried out with 52 complaints of citizens and one establishment, in Larnaca 1,583 inspections were carried out with 21 complaints of citizens, in Paphos 1,204 inspections were carried out with 10 complaints of citizens , in Famagusta, 1,287 inspections were carried out with 11 complaints from citizens and in the area of Morfos, 902 inspections were carried out with 1 citizen complaint.
Also, throughout Cyprus, the Traffic Police carried out 944 inspections, which resulted in 2 complaints from citizens.
The Port and Maritime Police carried out 54 inspections from which no complaints emerged.
