Together with all Hellenism, Cyprus today celebrates the national anniversary of October 28 1940, the Greeks' “NO” to foreign invaders, to fascism and later to Nazism.
The Senior Government Representative Niovi Parisinou, on behalf of the Government was at the celebrations for the national anniversary of October 28, 1940, in Polis Chrysochous.
The same message he sent:
Today we celebrate and honor October 28, 1940, which is a milestone in modern Greek and world history . We honor with emotion the heroic NO, with which the Greek people responded to the forces of totalitarianism and fascism.
